Killruddery & Powerscourt Wedding
Two of our favourite luxurious wedding venues in Ireland in one wedding. The results? Perfection!
Morgan & Colm’s Wedding Ceremony and Cocktail Reception was held in Kilruddery House. The reception and late night party followed in Powerscourt Estate.
“I’m looking for a girl who could make a perfect cup of tea” he said in his profile, which she took in her stride, and even joked about it in her vows.
From New York to Ireland, Morgan and Colm’s destination wedding was featured in The New York Times. Brilliantly planned by Lyndsay, captured by us alongside the very talented, Chirstina! It was a fairytale wedding come to life.
KILLRUDDERY HOUSE
One of the most iconic orangeries in Ireland\
Set within 800 acres of historic parkland on the edge of the Wicklow Mountains, Killruddery House is one of Ireland’s most iconic and atmospheric wedding venues. The house blends aristocratic heritage with romantic natural beauty, sweeping formal gardens, ancient woodlands, and the striking 17th-century house itself create an unforgettable backdrop for celebrations. Couples are drawn to its rare sense of authenticity: a place where history is not staged, but lived in, offering an intimate and deeply memorable setting.
At the heart of many wedding celebrations is the estate’s breathtaking Orangery, a light-filled architectural gem overlooking the gardens. With its soaring glass walls, classical symmetry, and views across the rolling landscape, the Orangery offers a seamless connection between indoors and nature. It transforms effortlessly from a serene ceremony space into an elegant reception setting, glowing with candlelight as evening falls. Its cinematic beauty has also attracted filmmakers, most recently serving as a location for the romantic film Irish Wish, further cementing Killruddery’s reputation as a place of timeless romance.
Killruddery’s commitment to sustainability makes it not only beautiful, but meaningful. As a working estate, it operates with a regenerative ethos—restoring biodiversity, growing seasonal produce in its historic walled gardens, and supporting local food systems. This approach ensures that weddings held here are grounded in environmental responsibility as well as elegance.
POWERSCOURT ESTATE

From the moment guests arrive along the tree-lined avenues, there is a sense of timeless grandeur and tranquillity. The estate’s terraces, sculpted landscapes, and reflective lakes provide an extraordinary backdrop, making every celebration feel both intimate and monumental.
Ceremonies and receptions at Powerscourt are defined by elegance and versatility, with the beautifully restored ballroom offering panoramic views across the Sugar Loaf Mountain and formal gardens. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with natural light by day and reveal a magical, illuminated landscape by night. Couples can also take advantage of the estate’s world-famous gardens for photography, from the Italian Gardens and Triton Lake to hidden pathways and romantic stone features that feel entirely secluded.
Powerscourt’s reputation extends far beyond weddings, it is consistently ranked among the finest gardens in the world and is home to the nearby Powerscourt Waterfall, Ireland’s highest waterfall.
