A story that lives quietly but powerfully at the heart of our family.
For the six years she knew him, Aoife was very close to her granddad Valentine, better known as Dádó, spending much of her younger years in his shadow, quietly absorbing his stories, his habits, and his gentle way of being. Aoife’s grandmother Jude passed away before she was ever able to meet her. She was known as a beautiful and full-of-life woman, yet there are only a handful of photographs of her, and none from her wedding day. That absence has always stayed with us. Her wedding exists only in our imagination, constructed from fragments, stories, and love passed down through the years. It is in that absence that we first understood the true weight of photography, not as decoration or documentation, but as legacy.
Photography is what remains when voices soften and the memories fade. It is how future generations come to know the people who shaped them, even if they never had the chance to meet. A wedding photograph is never just about the couple in the frame; it is about the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who will one day look back, searching for connection, for familiarity, for proof of love and life. Jude & Valentine exists because we believe wedding photography is one of the most important gifts you leave behind, an inheritance of memory, emotion, and truth.
There is also a deeper, living connection to them. We now live on their land, with plans to renovate a home they once lived in. Spiritually and emotionally, it feels like home in a way that is difficult to explain but impossible to ignore. Their presence is felt in the walls, the land, and the quiet simple moments in life. This grounding sense reinforces everything we believe about legacy, how love is carried forward not just through people, but through stories, through music and a deep sense of belonging.
Jude & Valentine is our way of honouring that love and appreciation we have for our families, and that love that continues long after loss. This name is not branding; it is remembrance. It is our promise to treat every wedding we photograph with reverence, intention, and depth, so that years from now, someone else will look at those images and feel what we feel: connection, gratitude, and love that never truly disappears.

Our journey together begins with a conversation over zoom, we take time to get to know each other, hear about your vision for the wedding, and answer any questions you may have. To reserve your wedding date, we simply require a signed agreement and booking deposit.
PLANNING
We are involved from the early planning stages, refining timelines, exploring locations. We work closely with you, your planner and vendor team to ensure your entire experience flows seamlessly and brings your entire vision to life.
WEDDING DAY
On one hand, we love to blend in like guests, documenting and capturing little moments as they happen. On the other, we will direct you when needed and ensure you look and feel your absolute best.

Each gallery is meticulously edited with care and intention, every image refined to highlight its depth and emotion. Your final collection is then delicately curated by us to reflect your story with artistry, sensitivity, and a timeless, editorial feel.
